Microgreens are back!
I've returned just in time to start seeding for the summer!
I got a warm up with the microgreens last week, but now there isn't only them to seed but lots of tiny flower seeds and to prep for all the greens later on.
Plus, I gotta make sure to get out and ski through all that snow out there because after 2 winters of missing out, I've got time to make up!
The first batch of Microgreens are on their way to the Amish Farm to Market Store today. Look for them there this afternoon as I deliver around midday. In future weeks I'll be delivering on Saturday, so stop in on the weekend or Mondays for the freshest selection!
For now, I'm back to herding cats, chasing chickens, and putting seeds to soil!
The Sunflower Shoots may need a few more days, but the Mild Mix (full of tasty, fresh kale, broccoli, and cabbage) and the Spicy Mix (with its radishes and arugula) are ready for harvest, packaging and delivery!

The greenhouse is full of overwintering lettuces, just waiting for the sun and the warmth to return.
As well as lots of tiny perennials who can't wait for that snow to leave outside and the soil to warm, but they just need to be patient inside their sometimes warm Dragon Dome
The kittens are all settled back into their home and spend the days snuggling up in the sunny windows, fighting the plants for some light. While Hella knows the secret is to go outside and get some sun rays all to yourself!
Once the snow is gone, the kittens will start their outdoor safety training, which is a reflective collar, knowing where all the good places to hide are, to come when called (yep cats can do that too!), and only can get outside when I say it's ok. Because there are things with bigger teeth and bigger claws then theirs in them woods!
