I'm an easy growing grass that you can use for either decoration or grain. My large, arching plumes are striking in bouquets and produce lots of grain. Use me in bouquets fresh or hang me to dry. If you wanna feed the birds or fill your pot, let the spikes ripen fully and harvest before seeds fall.

It's easiest to direct seed me in spring after danger of hard frosts is done.
I'll begin to form seed heads in 60-70 days. I'm especially beautiful in mixed grass plantings.
