Farewell to Spring
The end of spring heralds the start of summer and that's when I like to open my sprays of silky pink, purple, and white blooms. In bloom, I shimmer and shine like satin. I'm a quick blooming annual (75-90 days) who doesn't mind coolness but I don't like frosts, which melts my gorgeous blooms. If you don't cut all of my blooms, I might just reseed for next year.
help me grow:
Start me inside 4 weeks before last frost and plant me out after frost is past. I like cool days when I'm young to grow strong stems for my blooms.
enjoy my bounty:
For bouquets, harvest me when the first flower on the stem opens. The rest will continue to open in the vase.
